Eephus & Sudo's Funderdome
Video documentation from Eeephus & Sudo's Funderdome.
3 September - 1 October 2022 at Metro Arts, Brisbane, Australia.
Presented as Part of Brisbane Festival 2022
Step into Eephus and Sudo’s Funderdome! A playful reimagining of the classic video game arcade, this exhibition will transform the gallery into an interactive space filled with eccentric games and friendly monsters. Alongside fellow humans and virtual monsters, visitors are invited to play the digital attractions in unexpected and collaborative ways. And don’t forget to browse longingly at the idiosyncratic, but ever-unobtainable, prize wall.
The exhibition embraces a touch of nostalgia for the lost world of the video arcade, while also reimagining new possibilities for gaming beyond its mainstream history, and the potential for DIY experiments and technical tinkering to produce new experiences.

Interview by Onassis Stegi for the EU funded Interfaces Project

In 2019 I was asked to be a Mentor at the DIY Instrument Making & Hackathon run by Onassis Stegi in Athens, Greece.  Alongside Enrico Bertelli (UK), Alexandros Drymonitis (GR), Tina Dolinšek (SL), John Richards (UK, De Montfort University) and Max Wainwright (UK).

Onassis Stegi
invited artists, musicians, sound engineers, designers and programmers in a three-day hackathon to collaboratively create new instruments and sounds, and explore new ways to make music.

The event was part of the Interfaces project co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
